Descanso’s growing wellness programs capture the healing powers of the beauty of nature. Fitness walks along forest paths, yoga in the comfort of Van de Kamp Hall, tai chi in the landscape’s beauty spots and other seasonal programs that stretch the mind and body are harmonious components of Descanso’s wellness programs.

Yoga

10 weeks starting week of August 30 | 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. classes available | Van de Kamp Hall

Descanso Gardens' Fitness Walks and Yoga program includes a 25-minute fitness walk in a beautiful landscape, a 60-minute yoga practice in a serene Craftsman-styled room, and an attentive teaching team. Participants in these 10-week sessions should wear walking shoes and comfortable clothing, and bring an exercise mat and towel.

Mindful Meditation

Practice techniques to reduce stress, increase relaxation and improve health and well-being.

$88, $72 members. No walk-ins. Class size is limited and advanced registration required.
