Guidelines for Weddings
Equipment Rental
Descanso Gardens will provide information
for our equipment vendor along with the basic pricing. Equipment rentals
will be handled by client directly with equipment vendor.
Refreshments in the Garden
Refreshments are only allowed in the area
designated for your reception. Taking food or drinks into any other
area of the Gardens is strictly prohibited. There is no food or beverage
service allowed at the ceremony.
Photography
The splendor of Descanso Gardens provides the
perfect setting for creating treasured photographs. We will waive filming
and admission fees for your photographer and wedding party on the day
of your wedding and/or reception. Photography on any other day is subject
to a fee and may be done only with a reservation, check photography page for further details.
Music
You may have acoustic music to accompany your
outdoor wedding and reception. We suggest using violin, harp, other
strings, flute or acoustic guitar for ceremonies and jazz trios or swing
bands for receptions. Amplified sound is only allowed at indoor events.
Disc jockeys and CD players are considered amplified music.
Scheduling
Your service contractors (florists, musicians,
friends helping with set-up, etc.) may enter the Gardens for delivery
and set-ups beginning at 7 am for morning weddings and at 3 pm for evening
weddings. Earlier deliveries and arrivals are not permitted.
