Visit Descanso Gardens

Location
Descanso Gardens is located near the intersection of the 210 and 2 freeways. It is a short 20-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles.

Hours
The Gardens are open every day of the year except Christmas, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (although visitors are encouraged to arrive by 4:30 p.m.) Free Parking.

Admission
General $8. Senior/Students $6. Children (5 to 12 years) $3.
Guild members and Children under 5 free.
Tram $4. Enchanted Railroad $3

Tram Tour Schedule
Tuesday - Friday 1, 2 and 3 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday 11 a.m, 1, 2 and 3 p.m.
$4 per person
To ensure the tram will be operating on the day of your visit,
we recommend you call ahead, 818.949.4200.

Accessibility
Wheelchairs are available for guests at the Visitor’s Center.
Many of Descanso’s asphalt pathways are wheelchair accessible.

Please note:
No animals -- except service dogs -- are allowed in the Gardens.

Enchanted Railroad
Thursday - Sunday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
$3 per person

Boddy House and Heritage Exhibit
10 to 4 p.m. Tuesday - Sundays. Closed on Mondays.
Docent-led tours on Saturday and Sundays at noon.
Free with Gardens' admission.

Carriage House Art Gallery
10 to 4 p.m. daily. Free with Gardens' admission.

Please Note: The Carriage House Art Gallery will close its doors the end of June, 2009 for major renovations.
It will reopen in spring of 2010 as the Sturt Haaga Gallery of Art at Descanso Gardens.

Food
Cafe open daily 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sandwiches, salads and luncheon specials, 10% discount to Members.

Picnic Area
Picnic area available adjacent to parking lot. Picnicking not allowed inside Courtyard or Gardens.

Gift Shop
Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays; 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Group Tours
A variety of tours are available for groups of 25 or more. More information.
