School Program Volunteer Opportunities

Trained docents work with visiting classes of children in grades 2 through 6 and occasionally, through special arrangement, with groups from middle schools and high schools. Some docents also lead after-school tours for groups of Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts.

Docents also participate throughout the Gardens in other ways, including working at Discovery Tables during the Spring Festival of Flowers and volunteering during the Holiday Festival. But their primary focus is leading weekday morning tours for elementary school students.
