In conjunction with the Sturt Haaga Gallery exhibition La Reina de Los Ángeles, native plant expert Nicholas Hummingbird will give an in depth talk about native plants and their traditional uses. Hummingbird will discuss how Native Californians’ intrinsic relationship with the environment has for centuries included a lifestyle of conservation, botany, art and stewardship. After the talk, guests are invited to visit the California Natives garden and Oak Woodland to see the plants discussed by Hummingbird.
