Please note that Garden Sprouts is canceled.
Meets on four Fridays from May 1–22.
Garden Sprouts is a grownup and child (ages 2-4) class where the seeds of love for nature are planted and nurtured. Children and adults participate in story time, songs, hands-on nature, science, art, and gardening activities, as well as prepare a healthy snack together. All activities are designed specifically for children’s fine and gross motor skills and social development.
$40 members; $48 nonmembers. Advanced registration required. Please note that this program is non-refundable.
Please note that Little Explorers is canceled.
Explore Descanso Gardens from the ground up with your children ages 2 to 5. On the first Saturday of the month, Little Explorers will encourage kids to use their senses to discover the natural world through hands-on activities.
Free with admission. No registration required.
The music is one hour long and begins at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm.
Tickets are sold out for the Sept. 16 performance of What You Will
Join us on September 16, 17 or 18 for a performance of What You Will by the Ensemble Shakespeare Theater in the Amphitheater off the Main Lawn.
In turns funny, inspiring, heartbreaking, satirical, profound, silly, literal, figurative, and above all honest, What You Will is a passionate and moving dose of humanity through Shakespeare.
This Shakespearean “un-play” is the result of the Ensemble’s favorite professional actors, writers, and improvisors creating mini-plays through the lens of their individual and diverse backgrounds, responding to and recontextualizing Shakespeare’s stories and words. The company breaks down the mystique of Shakespeare’s language and creates pieces for all audiences to enjoy.
$20 for members, $25 for non-members. Advance tickets required.
