A doctorate in cello performance from the USC and having performed with Pacific Symphony, USC Thornton Symphony, LA Phil, and LA Chamber Orchestra, Fang Fang’s cello playing is a favorite at Descanso.

Philip Graulty is a Los Angeles-based guitarist and composer whose unique approach to the guitar is informed by myriad styles including classical guitar, contemporary jazz, and country blues.

The Sunrise Sound Bath is sold out
Come experience the gardens like never before. Descanso Gardens members are invited to join a special sunrise sound bath on the Main Lawn. Sound baths are listening experiences that provide meditative and restorative benefits.
Members are invited to bring a yoga mat and/or blankets. Chairs will be available.
Members only, $35 per person. Advance registration required.

Marna Currie: Originally from Scotland, Marna has trained and practiced in metaphysical therapies for over 13 years. Marna was inspired to help others after ridding herself of a condition classed as ‘incurable’ and all her therapies have been tried and tested to provide an authentic and reliable experience at the highest of standard and respect to the clients privacy.

Join artist Virginia Hein for a four week series that focuses on exploring color to sketch the landscapes of Descanso. Bring a spirit of play and experimentation while learning to work confidently with color.
$120 members, $140 non-members. Class meets on Sept. 1, 8, 15, and 22 from 9am to noon. Advance registration required.
