Join us for an eight-week Friday yoga series with Joyce Shuman in the Rose Pavilion every Friday May 19–July 7 from 8:30–10am.
Yoga at Descanso Gardens is based on Hatha Yoga, which includes stretches, strengthening poses, breathing exercises, and mindful movement. The practice adapts to individual needs. Each class includes a 25-minute fitness walk and 60-minute yoga practice.
This class is open to all levels. Students should bring their own yoga mat and water bottle. Students are invited to bring the following props if they have them: 2 yoga blocks 4”x6”x9”, yoga strap with metal buckle 10’, yoga blanket.
Members only. $136 per participant, advance registration required, registration opens April 14 at 10am.

Join artist Virginia Hein for a sketch walk through the gardens on Thursday, June 1 from 5–6:30pm. This class is designed as an introduction to quick location sketching and each participant is given a small panorama sketchbook and waterproof pen (included in class price). Bring a spirit of curiosity, play and experimentation.
$40 for members/$45 for non-members, materials are included. Advance registration required. registration opens May 15 at 10am.
