Join us for a special pop-up yoga class led by Barbara Wood on Saturday, October 29 from 8:30–10am in the Rose Garden. The class includes a 25-minute fitness walk and 60-minute yoga practice.
In practicing yoga with someone, the body of your partner becomes an extension of your own and enhances your understanding of a stretch. You can sign up with or without a partner; we’ll switch partners throughout the workshop.

About Barbara Wood
Certified as a Hatha Yoga instructor, Barbara‘s yoga style incorporates her background as a modern dancer, specifically Alignment Release Technique, and F.M. Alexander Technique. She trained under Dr. Loren Fishman, NY, and is certified as a Yoga for Osteoporosis and Yoga for Back Pain therapist. When you purchase a gift membership this year, you will also get a special gift for yourself – Descanso will extend YOUR current membership for two extra months.
If you purchase a gift membership at the Visitor Center, you will receive a gift card to present to the recipient. For gift memberships purchased by phone or online, a certificate will be sent via email. Either way, two months of membership will be added to the giver’s membership by the end of the year.

Celebrate the return of Enchanted Forest of Light with an event to remember! Join us Saturday, November 19 for Descanso’s enchanting fundraising party. All funds raised support the mission of Descanso Gardens: to connect people with nature, and one another.
Tickets are $195 per person and include food and drinks, the Enchanted experience, and additional entertainment. Sponsorships include tickets to the Preview Party, recognition, and special “anytime” tickets — good for any night Enchanted is open in the 2022–2023 season.
