Celebrate the final week of Shine a Light featuring Descanso’s first artist-in-residence, Carole Kim. The closing celebration will include projections on the Oak Forest canopy and performance in the installation. Five artists will also perform and create “Humanity Carpet Mandala” using white powder stencils in front of the Gallery.
This is an outdoor, nighttime event. There will be a shuttle available, or bring a flashlight for your trip to the Boddy House. Tickets are free for Descanso Gardens members and $5 each for non-members. Reserve your tickets here.

Connecting plants, animals and Descanso Gardens, Los Angeles-based artist Jessica Rath and curator Pamela Bailey Lewis will present the first major survey of Rath’s contemporary works of art and her exploration of the human manipulation of agriculture and food production.
