OCTOBER 15, 2016 — JANUARY 29, 2017
From its inception more than 50 years ago, the Japanese Garden has brought together people from different backgrounds and cultures and offered them a new, intimate, and soul-nourishing experience with nature, as uniquely interpreted through the garden language of Japan. This exhibition explores how a garden happens; how it functions as a work of living art; how it transmits cultural ideas, and how it can act as a catalyst for building community.
