Ancient Plants: Cycads

In honor of our Ancient Forest’s tenth anniversary, Diana Nightingale, former Descanso Horticulturist, will teach about cycad ecology, evolution, and unique characteristics.
After the talk, explore our Ancient Forest to see the cycads in person.

About Diana Nightingale
Diana Nightingale is a former Descanso Gardens horticulturist. She has a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from USC and a Bachelor of Science in Plant Sciences from UC Santa Cruz.
In her spare time, she loves to study the secret lives of our native insects and indulge in her passion for tea.
