Join Luciana Abait, a featured artist from the Natura Naturata: Nature’s Action exhibition, for a free art collage workshop where you can create a surreal, dream-like world.

Luciana will share the secrets behind her “imaginary landscapes,” where she blends photography and painting to explore themes of dreams and immersion into nature. 

Participants will be provided with several photographs of Descanso Gardens landscapes, image cutouts and acrylic painting to add texture and mood and turn the work into a mixed media piece. 

No previous experience is needed. Come express your dreams through art!

Luciana Abait, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a Los Angeles-based artist and current resident at the 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica.

Her multimedia practice examines the intersection of climate change and environmental fragility, with a specific focus on their disproportionate impacts on immigrant communities.
