Fossils in the Forest

In honor of our Ancient Forest’s tenth anniversary, come learn about California’s prehistoric environment with Gabriel-Philip Santos from the Alf Museum of Paleontology.
From 10–11:30am, learn how fossils are found through hands-on activities and interactive exhibits.
Afterwards, join Gabriel from 12–1pm for a lecture that will take you back in time about 45 million years to visit California during the Eocene epoch.
Free with admission, no registration required. Lecture seating is limited and is first come, first served.
About Gabriel-Philip Santos
Gabriel-Philip Santos is the Director of Visitor Engagement & Education at the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology. He earned his MS in Geology from California State University, Fullerton where he studied prehistoric vertebrates of Southern California. He is currently a co-host of PBS Eons.
