Member Appreciation Night

March 15 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Included with Descanso Gardens membership

As part of Member Appreciation Week, Descanso Gardens members are invited to join us for an exclusive evening of fun and nature on Friday, March 15 from 5–7pm.

Enjoy live music, family-friendly nature activities, free train rides, tours of the nursery and Boddy House, and fun giveaways.

Here’s a schedule of activities to help you plan your evening:

Live Music

  • 5pm, 6pm: Jamie Elman, jazz pianist, at the Boddy House
  • 5pm, 6pm: Chris Pierce, singer and guitarist, on the Main Lawn
  • 5pm, 6pm: Christopher Garcia, percussion of Mesoamerica and India, in the Rose Garden

Family Activities

  • 5-7pm: Camellia creations on the Main Lawn
  • 5-7pm: Plant prints at Mulberry Pond
  • 5-6:30pm: Free train rides

Tours

  • Boddy House tours every half hour
  • Ruth Borun Nursery & Propagation Center tours every half hour

Food & Drink

  • Refreshments for purchase at The Market, Jones Coffee, Social Nature on Magnolia Lawn (closes at 6:30pm), and the Rose Garden
  • Free coffee tasting at the Boddy House
