About Autumn Ayers

Autumn Ayers is the Manager of Horticulture & Collections at Descanso Gardens, or in her humorous simplification “the plant detective and plant librarian.”

After earning her BS in Horticulture from Temple University in 2018, she interned in public horticulture at the University of Pennsylvania and in plant records at Longwood Gardens.

Since 2021, Autumn has been working on finding and telling the stories hidden in the collections at Descanso Gardens.
