Rooted Workshop: Ikebana

Learn to make your own Ikebana arrangements with personalized guidance from an Ikebana master.
Space is limited. Registration will open for members on August 5 and for non-members on August 10.
Ikebana is a Japanese flower arranging art form that prioritizes simplicity, elegance, and a respect for nature.
Instructor Kaz Yokou Kitajima highlights the freedom of individual expression, believing ikebana can be made anytime, anywhere, by anyone, with any materials.
Using materials provided by Descanso Gardens you will take home a beautiful, custom work of art.
$50 members, $65 non-members.

About Kaz Kitajima
Kaz Yokou Kitajima is Ikkyu Shihan Riji of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. His dynamic arrangements use elements of bamboo, pine and wood materials as well as the most delicate flowers. He is proprietor of the NK Nursery, and teaches at the San Gabriel Japanese Community Center and the Pasadena Japanese Cultural Institute.
