Join us on Friday, June 5, from 8–10am to kick off summer with an exclusive preview of the new dinosaur installation at the Descanso Railroad.
Experience the garden railway alongside dinosaurs and Cretaceous-era mammals made entirely from natural materials by design studio Applied Imagination.
Go behind the scenes with a Descanso Railroad engineer, who will be in the garden sharing an up-close look at the model trains.
The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County will also be visiting with a special display of prehistoric fossils.
Summer Adventure Passport
Attendees will receive our new Summer Adventure Passport—an interactive way to explore the gardens and discover the creatures that call it home.
Start your passport with a limited-edition dinosaur sticker commemorating the event, then stick around to enjoy treats and Descanso’s iconic ride-on train.
Train Rides
Train rides will begin early at 8am for this special preview event, and single-ride tickets will be available for $5.
