Carved lights up the night
Come discover a mesmerizing pumpkin wonderland featuring a new route, and even more pumpkin fun!
Returning favorites and fresh delights
Descanso Railroad will be specially lit for Carved, and new ghosts will join the family of wood spirits carved from five enormous logs by Chainsaw Jenna. You’ll be amazed by luminous jack-o’-lanterns, hand-carved giant pumpkins and our “Rhizome” installation by Tom and Lien Dekyvere.

Carved is a rain-or-shine event. Tickets are non-refundable, have timed entry, and must be purchased in advance.

Do Descanso Gardens members get free Carved tickets?
Descanso members do not get free tickets to Carved. We offer Descanso members a $7 discount on tickets.
Can I reschedule or get a refund on my ticket?
Unfortunately, we cannot reschedule or refund Carved tickets.
Could Carved be canceled due to bad weather?
Carved will happen rain or shine. Dress code: Comfy shoes and warm layers. Remember to bring your magic umbrella to ward off the rain.
What’s the experience like and how long is the route through Carved?
The event route is less than a mile long and takes most visitors about one hour to complete. The route is accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, and mobility assistance devices.
We highly encourage participants to wear comfy walking shoes and dress warmly. Outdoor evenings in La Cañada Flintridge can get chilly!
Can groups come to Carved? Buses?
We do welcome buses and groups to Carved, but because of our limited parking, we ask that you visit on a weeknight. You must reserve tickets for groups and parking for buses over the phone.
